Using Run As Command in Windows XP

You have lots of applications open and want to do administrative work on windows XP . you can use run as command to use the tool 1. Locate the program you want to start in Windows Explorer, the Microsoft Management Console (MMC), or Control Panel. 2. Press and hold down the SHIFT key while you right-click the program icon, and then click Run as. 3. Click Run the program as the following user, and then type the user name, password, and domain of the administrator account that you want to use.NOTE: If you want to use the administrator account on your computer, type the name of the computer in the Domain box. If you want to use the domain administrator account, type the name of the domain in the Domain box. When the program is running, you can use Task Manager to check the process owner on the Processes tab of Task Manager. To start Task Manager, click Start, click Run, type taskmgr, and then press ENTER.

Creating program keyboard shorcut keys

1. Right-click the desktop shortcut, and then click Properties. 2. On the Shortcut tab, click in the Shortcut Key box. 3. Press the keyboard combination that you want to use to start the program. The shortcut combination must consist of one character (a letter, number, or symbol) plus at least two of the following three keys: CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT. 4. Click OK.
